Things on my Mind

Recently with all of the things that seem to be going on in my life I have had numerous things on my mind. Here are the five things that I am most concerned with right now.

1) College. I am pretty sure we all (seniors in English) are concerned about what we are going to spend our lives doing after this school year. Some of us may go straight to join the workforce, some may be going on missions, and some of us are going to college. I am going to go to college after high school, but I still have many questions that are weighing on my mind. Where will I go? What will I study? Where will I live? Will I get a job? I’m sure you’re all aware of these issues as well. Thankfully though, I can put off some of the decisions for a while because I will be going on a mission for my church after a semester or two of college. So that gives me an extra two years to decide.

2) Pigeons. I don’t know if any of you have noticed, but there are a ton of pigeons in Holbrook. Several of them live in the pine trees outside of my house and poop on my truck. It makes me mad and I hate them. In fact, yesterday I actually went to the car wash to wash my truck. I washed off a considerable amount of pigeon excrement and I think I’ll start parking somewhere other than underneath my pine trees.

3) Maverick. Has anyone else noticed how fast they are building the Maverick? Every time I drive on Navajo Boulevard it seems like something has changed dramatically with the process of building it. I’ve never seen anything built so quickly. I don’t know why I’m so excited to have a Maverick but I just am. I think it’s because it is a sign that Holbrook might be finally growing. However, it makes me kind of sad because we might not be around in Holbrook to enjoy the new gas station.

4) Disneyland. For Show Choir, we will be going to Disneyland over Spring Break. I have been in Show Choir for the past six months and finally it’s about to pay off. I am very excited and can’t wait. We are also going to Universal Studios and Medieval Times. I don’t know what part I am more excited about... probably Medieval Times.

5) New Year’s Resolutions. Generally speaking, I don’t really like the thought of waiting for the new year to improve yourself. I think we should be improving ourselves throughout the year. However, this year I jumped on the bandwagon and made some New Year’s resolutions with the many other people who have done so. They aren’t really changes that I’d make in my life so much as things that I’d like to start doing in 2013, such as reading more books and other stuff similar to that.

Anyway, that is what is on my mind right now... Do you have anything that you have been thinking about recently?

  1. Thanks for being funny. Since these blogs are an assignment for English,I think most of us are trying to be deep and inspiring, which is great. I have already learned a lot from the deep inspiring blogs, but you blog is really refreshing. It is easy to read and very entertaining. Your personality shows in your writing. I love your care free sense of humor. Really I like it all except for that you are only in show choir for Disney Land...(:

  2. Reading your blog has taught me a little bit more about yourself. First, of all your probably one of the smartest people I know! By reading just your though about College it gave me the expression as if your are frighten of the thought of what in the world is going to occur in the future and how I'm I going to accomplish it without failing. I think that's what's on senior minds right now. I know that's what seriously going through my mind. Also, I love how you still use your sense of humor in your writing. Hope your truck stays clean!
